Jason Momoa’s private plane forced to make emergency landing after suspected fire
Firefighters discovered the blaze was a false alarm
A plane carrying Aquaman star Jason Momoa made an emergency landing after a suspected fire.
The incident occurred on Monday when the engine blaze was believed to have started on the actor's private jet shortly after taking off in Palm Springs, California.
City spokeswoman Amy Blaisdell said that the actor was on his way to Phoenix, Arizona when the emergency landing took place ar around 9:15am.
Firefighters swiftly arrived on the scene and, fortunately, discovered it was a false alarm.
Momoa revealed the news on Instagram, writing: “Well, we got ourselves a slight delay. Half-hour out, in Palm Springs, and the plane wanted to start a fire.
“Looks like we're driving,” he quipped.
While waiting for a new private plane to arrive, Momoa posed for photographs with the firefighters.
Last month, Friends stars Jennifer Aniston and Courteney Cox were involved in an emergency landing after a plane flying to Cabo San Lucas in Mexico lost a wheel. The pair were heading to the Mexican resort in celebration of the former's 50th birthday.
