Kevin Smith and Jason Mewes are to bring their Jay & Silent Bob tour to the UK, performing in London, Birmingham, Manchester and Bristol.

The characters first appeared in Smith's movies Clerks and Mallrats, but got their own standalone film in 2001 with Jay & Silent Bob Strike Back.

They return this time alongside Family Guy actor Ralph Garman, starring in their first ever cartoon Jay & Silent Bob's Super Groovy Cartoon Movie.

The Hollywood Babble-on Tour will visit Birmingham 02 Academy on June 29, London's Eventim Apollo on July 1, Bristol's Colston Hall on July 2 and Manchester 02 Apollo on July 3.

Each venue will feature a different element of the tour, and all will see an exclusive podcast performance and a Q&A with Smith and Mewes.

Tickets go on sale this Friday, 14 March at 9am.

Smith's next feature film is called Tusk, a horror packed with Kubrickian symmetry which takes as its source material a Gumtree ad in which a homeowner offered a living situation free of charge, if the lodger agreed to dress as a walrus.
