Jurassic World 2: Colin Trevorrow reveals plot details, says film will deal with animal rights
'The dinosaurs will be a parable of the treatment animals receive today'

With Jurassic World making upwards of $1.670 million at the box office, anticipation for the film’s sequel, directed by Spanish filmmaker J.A. Bayona, is huge.
Already, the first film’s director, Colin Trevorrow, is whetting fan appetites, teasing further plot details. Speaking Sitges Film Festival in Spain, he revealed some of the underlying themes of the film.
“The dinosaurs will be a parable of the treatment animals receive today: the abuse, medical experimentation, pets, having wild animals in zoos like prisons, the use the military has made of them, animals as weapons,” Trevorrow said, according to El Mundo, via TIME.
“The second part will be a very different movie that will explore new paths. For that reason, it was clear that it needed to be Bayona who would direct it, in order to have it grow and evolve with his very personal vision.”
Jurassic World 2 will reach cinemas 22 June 2018 with Chris Pratt and Bryce Dallas Howard reprising their roles. There will be a third Jurassic World film after that.
