Justice League reviews are out and the Rotten Tomatoes page remains empty

Here's why the reviews aggregate website are holding the score

Justice League - Trailer 2

The Justice League reviews are out, The Independent calling Warner Bros. upcoming movie “the most infantile of recent superhero yarns”.

However, despite the critical consensus being released, the Rotten Tomatoes page remains suspiciously blank, saying “there are no critic reviews yet for Justice League”.

Why would arguably the worlds most influential review aggregator website suddenly decide not to post reviews for possibly the biggest movie of the last six months?

First off, Rotten Tomatoes have launched a band new weekly show named Rotten Tomatoes See It / Skip It, broadcast to their Facebook page.

During the show, they have a segment called “Tomatometer Score Reveal” featuring one large RT score each week. Only two episodes have been released so far, the first revealed A Bad Moms Christmas’ score, the other one for Star Trek: The Original Series.

Justice League seems like a rather large step-up from either of those properties: some of the biggest talking points regarding Batman v Superman, Suicide Squad, and Wonder Woman.

Those waiting for the new score will have to wait until midnight on Thursday, when the show — hosted by entertainment journalists Jacqueline Coley and Segun Oduolowu — reveals it.

Also of note, the studio behind Warner Bros. holds a stake in Fandango, which owns Rotten Tomatoes. Of course, there may be no link between the two…

Meanwhile, we’ve rounded up the Justice League reviews, the majority of which have been negative. We predict a negative RT score to follow.

Justice League reaches cinemas 17 November.
