Justice League: Aquaman takes a ride on the Batmobile in brand new trailer
Superman is nowhere to be seen in the new look at the DC superhero mashup
The new Justice League trailer has dropped a month ahead of its release in cinemas.
Debuting at New York Comic-Con, the trailer shows off its united superheroes in the aftermath of the seemingly fatal events depicted in Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice.
It begins with Lois Lane, played by Amy Adams, dreaming of Clark Kent (Henry Cavill) before waking up to - spoiler alert - a news report announcing the death of Superman.
Elsewhere, Batman (Ben Affleck) and Wonder Woman (Gal Gadot) can be seen pledging to continue Superman's legacy as they fight off the threat of villainous forces alongside Aquaman (Jason Momoa), Cyborg (Ray Fisher) and the Flash (Ezra Miller) who in a witty coda can be seen growing excited over Bruce Wayne's Bat-Signal.
JK Simmons can also be seen in the trailer playing Commissioner Gordon, the character portrayed by Gary Oldman in Christopher Nolan's Dark Knight trilogy.
Earlier this week, Affleck reflected upon the criticism directed the way Batman v Superman after its release in 2016 deeming it “fair.”
Justice League will be released in cinemas on 16 November.
