Matt LeBlanc just revealed a bombshell about his time on Friends
And a story of when a DIY attempt went very, very wrong
Though Matt LeBlanc's been strutting around with the moniker 'Silver Fox' on his new show, Man with a Plan, it turns out it's a reputation he's been putting off for a while now.
On The Late Late Show with James Corden, the actor revealed he actually started going grey, "in like, the second season of Friends, way back then" and that it was dyed back to jet-black for the show.
However, the treatments were lengthy and LeBlanc crossed paths in the supermarket with a potentially faster way to dye his hair - Just For Men, which apparently only took five minutes.
"Is it the same stuff 'cause it takes you two hours and can I do it with this stuff five minutes at my house," he asked the stylist. The stylist, apparently, quietly replied, "It's the same stuff."
However, LeBlanc's attempt didn't go quite as expected, since the stylist didn't impart one crucial piece of advice: always protect your ears, with Vaseline if possible. The actor ended up at work with his "ears all black".
LeBlanc said he continued to dye his hair until Joey went off the air in 2006, which is when he embraced his 'Silver Fox' look which, as Corden described, was "a triumph".
