Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds - 'Skeleton Tree' - 'One More Time With Feeling' Official Trailer

Nick Cave and his Australian collective The Bad Seeds are to release a documentary coinciding with the release of their new record - a first trailer of which has arrived.

One More Time With Feeling, which will be released in cinemas on 8 September for one night only, tracks the writing and recording of their upcoming 16th studio album Skeleton Tree.

Directed by Andrew Dominik (Killing Them Softly), the film was shot both in black-and-white and colour as well as 2D and 3D.

Skeleton Tree will feature eight original songs from the group and are expected to explore the frontman's grief following the tragic death of his son.

The alternative rock group formed in 1983 with their debut record, From Here to Eternity, released the following year. Their latest album, Push the Sky Away, came out in 2013

Cave has a past history scoring films including western The Proposition, Dominik's very own The Assassination of Jesse James by the Coward Robert Ford and new David Mackenzie crime drama Hell or High Water.

His last song as part of the Bad Seeds - "Give Us a Kiss" - came in 2014 from the film 20,000 Days on Earth.

One More Time With Feeling will be released 8 September.
