Once Upon a Time in Hollywood: Quentin Tarantino's new film to premiere at Cannes Film Festival
A trailer for the film has been released
Quentin Tarantino new film Once Upon a Time in Hollywood will reportedly premiere at Cannes Film Festival later this year.
The director’s film Pulp Fiction debuted at the same festival 25 years ago, on 21 May, and went on to win the coveted Palme d’Or.
With no Netflix titles being shown at the festival, organisers have been hoping to bring on board some other big-name films.
Starring a bustling ensemble that includes Brad Pitt, Leonardo DiCaprio and Margot Robbie, a trailer for Once Upon a Time in Hollywood was released yesterday (20 March).
The film will explore hippie culture and the Hollywood studio system in late 1960s Los Angeles, around the time of the infamous Manson Family Murders.
Tarantino, whose most recent film was The Hateful Eight, worked on the film’s script for five years.
Other stars to appear in the film include Al Pacino, Dakota Fanning, Damien Lewis, Lena Dunham and Bruce Dern. Burt Reynolds and Luke Perry will appear in the film posthumously.
Once Upon a Time in... Hollywood will be released in the UK on 14 August.
