The 2022 Oscars are over and done with following a dramatic ceremony that saw Will Smith hit Chris Rock on stage.

This year’s race became closer than expected in the final few weeks of athe wards season, with Apple TV+ film Coda becoming fierce competition for former favourite, Netflix’s The Power of the Dog.

Others film in contention for this year’s trophies included Denis Villeneuve’s Dune, Steven Spielberg’s West Side Story and Ryûsuke Hamaguchi’s Drive My Car.

Acting wise, the favourites included Will Smith (King Richard), Ariana DeBose (West Side Story), Jessica Chastain (The Eyes of Tammy Faye) and CODA’s Troy Kotsur.
