The Fast & Furious cast have released a tribute video to the late star of their car action franchise, Paul Walker.

The 40-year old actor, who played ex-cop Brian O’Conner, was killed in a Los Angeles car crash after a Porsche driven by his friend Roger Rodas hit a tree and burst into flames.

The two-minute tribute video features clips of Walker from a number of the Fast & Furious movies, alongside co-stars Vin Diesel, Tyrese Gibson, Jordana Brewster, Dwayne Johnson and Michelle Rodriguez.

“Coming Home” by P. Diddy featuring Skylar Grey provides the soundtrack to the tribute, which ends with a clip of Vin Diesel making a toast.

“The most important thing in life will always be the people in this room, right here, right now,” his character Dominic Toretto says.

The team posted their memorial on YouTube with a caption that read: “Paul Walker’s family appreciates the outpouring of love and goodwill from his many fans and friends.

“They have asked, in lieu of flowers or other gifts, that donations please be made to Paul’s charity Reach Out Worldwide. Donations can easily be made through their website.”

Walker and Rodas had taken the Porsche for a drive after leaving a charity event but were not illegal street racing when they crashed, officials have confirmed. High speed was, however, believed to be a factor in the tragedy.

The actor’s death was ruled as accidental by a coroner yesterday with autopsy results revealing he died from a combination of “traumatic and thermal injuries”.
