Royal Philharmonic Orchestra to perform scores from 13 popular films

Fans of Toy Story, Up and Finding Nemo will be in the audience for the UK premiere of Pixar in Concert at London’s Royal Albert Hall this Saturday.
Memorable scores from the animation studio's 13 feature films will be performed live by the Royal Philharmonic Concert Orchestra for the first time ever in Britain.
Some of the most visual scenes from the popular movies will be shown in high-definition accompaniment with the music, including clips from The Incredibles, Cars, Wall-E and Monsters Inc.
All of Pixar's movies are among the top 50 highest-grossing animated films of all time and have made more than $7.7 billion worldwide. Between them, the films have won 15 Oscars, seven Golden Globes and 11 Grammy Awards. Seven Academy Awards have been won for Best Animated Feature.
"For over 25 years, Disney Pixar has created magical animations that have moved audiences in many ways that other films cannot," said Jasper Hope from the Royal Albert Hall. "
Ritch Sibthorpe, managing director at Disney Music Group added: "A whole generation has grown up with the memorable soundtracks of Disney Pixar movies and everyone has their favourite song or musical moment from the Studio's incredible animation catalogue."
Pixar in Concert is part of a series of events at the Royal Albert Hall celebrating classic films with a live orchestra. More than 50,000 people have seen performances based on The Matrix, West Side Story, The Lord of the Rings and Tim Burton's films in recent years.
