The '80s were littered with now-classic fantasy tales: from Labyrinth to The NeverEnding Story, Willow to The Dark Crystal.
Each has their own litter of devoted fans, driven by a powerful sense of nostalgia and just a touch of Hollywood magic, but none of them have become quite as deeply embedded as the endlessly quotable The Princess Bride.
"As you wish." "Hello, my name is Inigo Montoya. You killed my father. Prepare to die." "You keep using that word. I do not think it means what you think it means." Rob Reiner's adaptation of William Goldman's 1973 novel of the same name proved a perfect blend of genres: romantic to its core, fantastical, but hilarious too.
While only a modest success in its initial theatrical release, it became a cult classic on home video and has found its reputation only grow in the following decades. It also had a fairly huge impact on the careers of its stars, especially the titular Princess Bride herself, Robin Wright.
We took a look at where the film's cast are now, 30 years after its initial US release.
