Scooby-Doo getting new live action film for some reason
Animated series also in the works

As the reboot period gets ever shorter, Warner Bros has announced plans to bring Scooby-Doo back to the big screen.
The last time the Great Dane was in cinemas with Scooby-Doo: Monsters Unleashed he bombed, but given that his previous 2002 movie starring Sarah Michelle Gellar, Freddie Prinze Jr, Matthew Lillard and Linda Cardellini took over $275 million worldwide I guess someone at Warner Bros went: "Eh, might as well then."
According to Indiewire, Randall Green has been tasked with writing a script relevant to an audience that didn't grow up on Scooby-Doo, with Charles Roven returning to produce but no word on a director yet.
The news comes just days after the death of Casey Kasem, who was the voice of Shaggy in the original cartoon.
There are also plans for a new animated Scooby-Doo series over at Cartoon Network, which is set to make its debut later this year.
