Cameron Diaz and Jason Segel embark on a frantic mission to stop people seeing their sex tape in the first trailer for a forthcoming comedy.

Jake Kasdan ( Bad Teacher) is directing Sex Tape, scripted by Kate Angelo with Jack Black, Rob Lowe, Ellie Kemper and Rob Corddry in supporting roles.

Keen to reignite the old spark in their relationship, Annie (Diaz) suggests recording a raunchy video of them attempting every sex position on the iPad.

"That's a great idea, that's your best idea ever," says husband Jay (Segel), and that's when the trouble begins.

Cue a cringeworthy introduction ("Welcome to an evening with Annie and Jay") and some far from seductive male briefs, followed by the couple's realisation that the tape may not have been for their eyes only.

After giving away iPads as Christmas gifts, a text from a friend informs Jay that he failed to erase the video as promised and it has in fact been uploaded to "The Cloud".

"Who has sex for three hours?," his mate laughs. "That's the length of the movie Lincoln, you did the full Lincoln."

When securing filming locations for the movie, the production crew reportedly had to use the fake title of Basic Math because no-one wanted involvement in a project called Sex Tape.

The film marks the second time Diaz and Segel have played an on-screen couple, after 2011's Bad Teacher, and is due to hit UK cinemas on 5 September.
