Space Jam: NBA All-Star weekend to feature live read through of script to mark film's 20th anniversary

The read through will feature an 'exciting lineup of entertainment and sports' personalities

For most 20-something year olds, Space Jam was a large part of childhood.

Released in 1996, the Michael Jordan starring film sold a few million Nike trainers, lead to the creation of R. Kelly’s ‘I Believe I Can Fly’ and showed everyone you don't need to be big to be a superstar basketball player.

To mark it’s 20th year since release, the NBA are set to bring in ‘an exciting lineup of talent’ to read the Loony Tunes script live.

Tthe announcement via TIFF reads: “In celebration of Space Jam’s 20th anniversary and the NBA All-Star Game in Toronto on February 14, TIFF Next Wave presents a live read of this Looney Tunes/ live-action mashup with an exciting lineup of talent from the sports and entertainment worlds.
