Spider-man - Homecoming - Trailer

Having debuted yesterday at Sony’s Cinema-Con conference, the second trailer for Spider-Man: Homecoming is finally here.

Homecoming sees Tom Holland once again appear as the web-slinger, have previously played the character in Captain America: Civil War.

Unlike the first trailer, which had a light-hearted feel - in part thanks to MGMT soundtracking the clip - the new footage put more emphasis on Michael Keaton’s villain.

Robert Downey Jr.’s fatherly Iron Man also makes an appearance, playing a more protective role: “If you’re nothing without your suit, then you shouldn’t have it.”

Jacob Batalon’s character also gets more airtime, particularly at the more humorous beginning of the trailer. He plays Peter Parker’s close friend, Ned Leeds, who was a reporter at the Daily Bugle alongside Parker in the comics.

Homecoming reaches cinemas 7 July and marks the second Marvel Cinematic Universe instalment of the year following on from Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2. Despite not being released yet, a sequel to Homecoming has already been confirmed by Sony.
