Stanley Tucci on his son's posh mannerisms

Stanley Tucci has revealed that his five-year-old son has adopted “posh” mannerisms and he has no idea why.

The actor appeared on The Graham Norton Show for an interview in which he discussed what his life during lockdown has been like.

Tucci has been at his home in London with his wife – literary agent Felicity Blunt – their five children and one of their children’s friends.

“Matteo is the one who’s become weirdly very posh?” Norton asked.

“We don’t know why he’s so posh,” Tucci said. “My wife isn’t really posh, she speaks eloquently. I just don’t get it. He’s the kind of kid who says... he was looking for something in his playroom and he couldn’t find it... and he said [in a posh voice], ‘I mean... It can’t just have vanished.’ Who says that?! He was four.”

“Does he think you’re the butler,” Norton joked.

“Yeah,” Tucci responded, “he’s like, ‘Who’s the American guy? Why is he so crass?’”

During the same interview, Tucci addressed a viral video of him showing off his cocktail-making skills. He also revealed he has a portable cocktail set that he brings to film sets in order to prepare drinks for his co-stars.

“If it’s the appropriate time, I make martinis for anyone who’d like to join me,” he said.

Tucci is one of a number of celebrities who contributed to a charity book for the NHS, the proceeds from which will go directly to the health service.
