If you haven't seen Star Wars: The Force Awakens leave now! There are major spoilers ahead.

Still here? I'm guessing so, because who in their right mind would click on a Star Wars link with *spoilers* featured in it without having seen the film.

Anyway, as you, I and the other million or so people who have seen the latest installment in the sci-fi saga know, there's a huge twist that sees Han Solo killed by his own son Ben Solo, now known as Kylo Ren.

In my cinema, there were audible gasps as well as many tears, and it's no surprise the internet has pounced on any news with regards the rogue's return in Episode VIII.

First of all, comments by Star Wars producer Kathleen Kennedy at the London premiere had many discussing whether he will be back.

She said: “There will be a handful of new cast members in Episode VIII but also all the cast members you see here tonight will be in it as well,” while Harrison Ford was on stage behind her.

Was she just trying to avoid spoilers? Perhaps. As might this latest casting call which seemingly confirms Ford will be returning in some capacity.

While most of the casting is being done through agents in LA and London, a website dedicated to Disney castings has published the casting call for the upcoming film.

We could spend hours speculating who the new lead will be (possibly Rey's mother in a flashback? Maybe a new villain?) but we're not going to debate that here. Most interestingly, the release confirms Harrison Ford will be back, as well as Benicio Del Toro coming on as a villain.

Is this just to avoid spoilers or could he be back in a flashback? Many people believe Solo could be Rey's father somehow, and we know he is closely linked to Ren, so it wouldn't be surprising to see him in some capacity. But then again, Ford doesn't exactly seem keen to be part of the franchise anymore.

All will be revealed when Star Wars: Episode VIII hits cinemas in May 2017.
