Sweet Country: Acclaimed 'landmark' Australian drama gets first UK trailer
The film has earned plaudits for its unflinching depiction of the country's Indigenous history
The Independent is happy to exclusively unveil the UK trailer for epic drama Sweet Country.
Set in the Australian outback, the film - from Samson and Delilah director Warwick Thornton - follows an Aboriginal man (Hamilton Morris) who becomes the source of a hunting party following a violent shootout which culminates in the death of a white man (Ewen Leslie) in the 1920s.
Sweet Country has been scoring rave reviews since is release, praised for its unflinching depiction of Australia's Indigenous history leading to key wins at numerous festivals (the platform Prize at Toronto International Film Festival and the coveted Special Jury Prize at Venice Film Festival).

Sam Neill also stars in the acclaimed drama which has a staggering Rotten Tomatoes score of 97% after just 32 reviews.
Sweet Country is released in cinemas on 9 March.
