Ben Affleck's Batman may be on the cusp of soaring into cinemas in Batman v Superman but one watch of The Lego Movie spin-off teaser and the only caped crusader you'll be wanting to spend time with is Will Arnett's.

Back when it was released in 2014, nobody could have predicted that The Lego Movie would be one of the most enjoyable animated films in recent memory, a notion definitely enhanced by the Arrested Development actor's hilarious voice work.

It seems this spin-off has matched its predecessor in tone, providing more laughs in 90 seconds than most films manage in their entire running time.

Directed by Chris McKay - who worked as an animation co-director on the original alongside directors Phil Lord and Chris Miller - the film will feature all the characters you'd associate with the world of Gotham.

Robin (Michael Cera), Batgirl (Rosario Dawson) and Bruce Wayne's trusty butler, Alfred Pennyworth (Ralph Fiennes) will all appear, with Zach Galifianakis lending his voice to The Joker.

The Lego Batman Movie will be released 10 February 2017.
