The Parent Trap: Lindsay Lohan and Dennis Quaid to reunite for first time in 22 years
Stars are coming together to celebrate 1998 classic
The cast of The Parent Trap are reuniting for the first time since the beloved film was released in 1998.
Lindsay Lohan, Dennis Quaid and Elaine Hendrix are among those getting together – via video link – to reminisce on the hit movie and highlights from their time on set, including with the late Natasha Richardson, who died in a skiing accident in 2009.
The reunion, which celebrates the film’s 22nd anniversary, will be posted on journalist Katie Couric’s Instagram page on Monday (20 July), and will also feature director Nancy Meyers.
The Parent Trap starred Lohan as twins Annie James and Hallie Parker, who were separated at birth and raised individually by each of their parents, played by Quaid and Richardson.
By coincidence, the girls meet at a summer camp when they’re 11 years old, and decide to secretly swap places and try to get their parents back together.
In the teaser for the reunion, Hendrix – who played the uptight new girlfriend of Quaid's Nick Parker, Meredith Blake – says: “There’s a whole generation who thinks Meredith is, like, hashtag goals.”
The reunion will help raise money for non-profit organisation World Central Kitchen.
