The Visit: Watch terrifying trailer for M Night Shyamalan's latest horror film
Prepare to never want to leave your children with the grandparents again

Since directing Sixth Sense, M. Night Shyamalan films have widely been on a negative trajectory. His last flick, After Earth featuring Will and Jaden Smith, was a disaster with the critics. Could things be about to change?
The Visit sees Shyamalan returning to his horror roots as he tells the story of two children who are left with their grandparents for a week’s holiday at their remote farm in Pennsylvania.
Sounds lovely, doesn’t it? Unfortunately, after 9.30 the grandparents go slightly insane, with Nana scratching at walls and attempting to lock her grandchildren in the oven.
The trailer gives us a brief look at how a ordinary visit to the relatives can turn into something straight out of Paranormal Activity.
Shyamalan told The Independent The Visit is “very daring.”
“I don’t know how many people will see it because it’s so small and specific and you may not like it but it is 100 per cent an original movie from me,” he said.
The trailer was attached to the film Unfriended, a movie set entirely on the character's computer screens in a variation of the found-footage genre.
The Visit is set for release on 11 September later this year.
