Tiger King movie: Tara Reid in talks to star as Joe Exotic’s nemesis Carole Baskin

'American Pie' actor ‘loves’ Netflix documentary

Tara Reid is in talks to star as Carole Baskin in a forthcoming movie adaptation of Netflix’s Tiger King.

The Sharknado and American Pie star’s manager revealed the news that she is being considered for the role of Joe Exotic’s nemesis in a new scripted film inspired by the hit documentary.

“We are in talks with the producers and she is being considered, that is all I can say at the moment as casting is on hold,” Philippe Ashfield told Page Six.

“Tara loves Tiger King and found the documentary extremely interesting. She feels she could get into the character of Carole Baskin very well… and she has a similar look to Baskin.”

There are currently several scripted Tiger King productions in the works, including a series starring Nicolas Cage as tiger trader Exotic.

The eight-episode show will chronicle how Exotic “fought to keep his park even at the risk of losing his sanity”.
