Netflix is in talks to give To All The Boys I've Loved Before – its romance film starring Lana Condor and Noah Centineo that was released to general acclaim in August this year.

A representative for the streamer told Variety that Netflix is 'in discussions' for a possible sequel, while pointing out that the project has yet to be confirmed.

To All The Boys I've Loved Before is based on Jenny Han's novel of the same name and focuses on Lara Jean Covey, a high school student who writes secret letters to her crushes and keeps them safely stashed in her closet – until the missives accidentally end up in the hands of their recipients, sending Lara Jean's love life into a tailspin.

Han's novel is the first instalment of a trilogy. While the books were released for a Young Adult audience, Netflix's adaptation was a success among Millennials and won over a large mainstream audience.

Netflix previously told Variety that the romance movie was one of its "most viewed original films ever with strong repeat viewing" – meaning some loved the film so much they simply couldn't stop playing it over and over again.

To All The Boys I've Loved Before came as part of a series of original movies released by Netflix over the course of a few months, which also included Set It Up and Sierra Burgess Is A Loser . The latter also stars Centineo.

The actor told Variety in August that he's on board for a To All The Boys I've Loved Before sequel – or several.

“All I know is that every single person involved in the making of that film wants a sequel,” Centineo said.

“We’ve all talked about it in depth. I’ll do as many as they want me!”
