Tom Holland names his favourite Marvel project – and it’s not Spider-Man
‘I’m obsessed with it,’ actor says
Tom Holland may be one of Marvel’s most popular stars, but he’s also just as much of a fan of the studio’s projects as their most dedicated followers.
Holland has been a part of the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) ever since showing up as Spider-Man in 2016 film Captain America: Civil War.
Since then, he’s appeared in two of the web-slinging superhero’s standalone films as well as Avengers: Infinity War and Avengers: Endgame.
However, Holland would not class any of these as his favourite Marvel projects; that honour goes to WandaVision.
“I’m obsessed with it,” he told The Playlist, adding: “It’s my favourite Marvel thing I’ve ever seen.”
WandaVision is the first of numerous Marvel TV shows set to be released on Disney Plus over the coming years. It stars Elizabeth Olsen and Paul Bettany as the characters Scarlet Witch and Vision, respectively, and is setting up Marvel’s Phase Four in tantalising fashion (full guide on that here).
Holland apparently can’t get enough of the show and spends his Saturdays on the set of the forthcoming third Spider-Man film discussing the previous day’s episode.

"I’m absolutely loving the show,” he continued. “I love the camaraderie that we have on set every Saturday. We work through the weekends. So, every Saturday everyone’s on set, talking about it and everyone’s spitting their theories out of what’s going on. I love the apprehension of waiting for Friday. “

Holland praised the show’s leads, stating: “I think Elizabeth Olsen is unbelievable in it. The way she can bounce between the different styles of acting and sitcoms is amazing. And I think it’s really funny. I really think it’s really funny. And Paul, In that last episode, when he was doing the interview, I was howling. It’s so funny. I think he’s brilliant. Both of them are fantastic. I love it.”
