The twins from Us played Ross and Rachel’s baby Emma on Friends
'Us' marks their first major onscreen role since the TV series
Fans of Jordan Peele‘s Us may be surprised to learn the horror film has a connection to TV’s Friends.
Twins Cali and Noelle Sheldon, 16, star in the film as Becca and Lindsey Tyler, the daughters of Elisabeth Moss and Tim Heidecker’s characters Kitty and Josh.
However, they also played Ross and Rachel’s baby Emma in seasons nine and 10 of Friends. Us marks their first major onscreen role since the TV series.
Us scored the highest grossing opening weekend for an original horror, generating $70 million (£53 million).
The record was previously held by A Quiet Place, which debuted to $50.2 million (£38 million) at the US box-office.
Us has also scored the second-highest grossing opening ever for an original R-Rated film, behind the Seth MacFarlane comedy Ted.
Only Captain Marvel has had a bigger opening weekend this year, with the superhero blockbuster scoring a $153 million (£116 million) weekend.
