Trailer for Venom starring Tom Hardy

Woody Harrelson will reprise his role as the villain Carnage in the forthcoming Venom sequel, it has been confirmed.

The actor appeared as the serial killer in a mid-credits scene during 2018’s Venom movie and fans have been speculating about his return ever since.

Venom 2’s cinematographer, Robert Richardson, confirmed Harrelson’s involvement in the new film, telling Collider: “This film, I think, will… explode because you have a remarkable central character with Venom, but now you’ve got Woody Harrelson, who’s obviously going to make his own little entrance here.”

Andy Serkis is directing Venom 2 with Tom Hardy reprising the eponymous lead role. Michelle Williams is also returning as Anne Weying, Venom’s lawyer love interest.

Venom 2 will be released in cinemas in 2020.
