Win a Canon camera with your view of Australia

To celebrate the London Australian Film Festival, which runs from 12-22 March at the Barbican in London, and the DVD/Blu-ray release of Baz Lurhmann's Australia, The Independent and the Barbican are teaming up to offer you the chance to win a Canon digital camera and to see your work exhibited at the Barbican.

To win, take a photo on "an image inspired by Australia" and email it to Australia@premierpr.com. A panel of judges from The Independent and the LAFF organisers will choose their favourites.

The winner will receive a Canon digital camera and will get the opportunity to have their image displayed as part of an exclusive exhibition of behind-the-scenes images from the film selected by director Baz Luhrmann, being held at The Barbican from 6-31 March ( Australia is being screened on 22 March at 2pm as part of the 15th London Australian Film Festival held at The Barbican, with a drinks reception courtesy of Jacob’s Creek, the UK’s favourite Australian wine, proud to be the exclusive wine partner of Australia). Not only that, but to mark the DVD/Blu-ray release of Australia, the winner will also recieve a copy of Baz Luhrmann's epic romantic western, set in Northern Australia during World War II, starring Nicole Kidman and Hugh Jackman.

Five runners up will receive a copy of Australia on DVD or Blu-ray, and their images will be displayed on The Barbican LAFF microsite.

The London Australian Film Festival is celebrating its 15th edition this year with a showcase of the best cinema from down-under alongside a host of special events. The festival takes place at the Barbican and runs from Thursday 12 to Sunday 22 March 2009. For more information and to book online visit www.barbican.org.uk/australianfilm.

Australia is released on DVD and Blu-ray on 27 April from Twentieth Century Fox Home Entertainment.
