Last year’s Wonder Woman was a massive success, managing to outgross the Batman/Superman/Wonder Woman team-up Justice League to many analysts’ surprise.

No wonder, then, that Warner Bros. is busily working on a sequel, news regarding the sequel trickling out to Hollywood trade press.

Already, we know Kristen Wiig has joined the Patty Jenkins-directed project, the former Saturday Night Live comedian playing the villainous Cheetah.

Variety now reports that Game of Thrones and Narcos actor Pedro Pascal has joined the sequel, with no further information about the character.

Pascal has worked on multiple films since breaking out on the fantasy HBO show, including roles in Kingsmen: The Golden Circle, and an upcoming role in The Equalizer sequel.

The actor has worked with Wonder Woman 2’s director, writer, and producer Jenkins previously on the TV movie Exposed.

Wonder Woman 2 will reach the cinemas 1 November 2019. Meanwhile, Pascal can next be seen in The Equalizer 2, followed soon after by Barry Jenkins new film If Beale Street Could Talk.
