Zack Snyder says multiple 300 sequels could be on the way
The films would be based on multiple historical battles from around the world

While Zack Snyder may be busy promoting Batman v Superman and working on his upcoming Justice League film, that doesn’t mean he hasn’t got huge plans for another franchise he previously worked on.
In an interview with Collider, he revealed that there very well may be plans to once again expand the cinematic universe created in 300 and continued by 300: Rise of an Empire.
“We’ve been talking a lot about sort of different incarnations of 300”, he said. “We’ve been talking about is there a way, possibly, we move out of Ancient Greece and use it as a framing device for other conflicts that happened throughout history.
“I think I mentioned that we talked about the Revolutionary War version, and we talked about the Alamo, and we’ve talked about there’s a battle in China, a ‘Lost Legion’ kind of concept, any of those kinds of things are on the table”.
That sounds like a lot of spin-offs. Perhaps Snyder will go the JJ Abrams route and keep the name of the franchise yet change what the film is about, much like Cloverfield and 10 Cloverfield Lane. For the meantime, Snyder has more than enough on his plate.
