"An overlong, self-satisfied film, with ridiculous characters (all acting like teenagers). Nothing knew, not interesting, not funny. That's the problem when you become the new darling of French cinema, your ankles and your head start to get bigger... and bigger... and bigger. This film is a total waste of time and money. Unfortunately it is getting better distribution than other much better, independently made French films. Sad."

Frank Barat

"With some of the feel of a French Four Weddings and a Funeral we are involved because every character is likeable. It could have been called "Four Weeks on Holiday and a Funeral". The beach settings on the French coast are idyllic and have got me booking my holiday there now!"

Edward Irons

"Little White Lies is about a group of French friends who go on holiday to the same place every year. It's finely written, yet it feels devised, so natural are the performances, including François Cluzet as Max, the begrudging holiday-home owner. The closing funeral scene brings everyone together in an emotional way, but this doesn't really mar a brilliantly funny film."

Lizzie Robinson

"Long, boring and nothing original. I am French and this type of movie has been done a million times already. Wait for it to come out on DVD and watch it in 2030!"

Stephan Scott

"As they never tire of demonstrating in their films, the French know how to live. Endlessly they kiss hello and goodbye, surely clocking up full years of cheek-to-cheek time in the average lifespan. When not kissing, they slug wine, smoke fags, shrug, stare out to sea, slurp oysters, make in-jokes and exhibit peculiarly Gallic idiosyncrasies; and this is why we love them and their films. Eminently watchable, this is a very funny study of a group of friends going through dramatic times."

Pinky 2

"Didn't like it too much... bit irritating and my French friends agreed!"
