A third helping of this friendly family entertainment would be insufferable were it not for Steve Zahn and Rachael Harris as the Wimpy Kid's parents and Robert Capron as his roly-poly friend Rowley, helpless innocent nonpareil.
To watch Zahn sing "I love you" to the family dog is reasonable compensation for an otherwise wasted hour and a half of your life.
