Georgia Nicolson (Georgia Groome) has a lot on her mind for a 14-year-old girl. Her crush, Robbie, already has a girlfriend; her parents look like they're heading for a divorce; her nose is gigantic and she still hasn't snogged anyone. Tough times. In this film based on the hugely popular books by Louise Rennison, director Gurinder Chadha (Bend it like Beckham) does well to evoke the spirit of being 14, with its silliness, angst and hormones, but is let down by a script that's simply not funny. There's a ton of extras to thrill the teenage girls the film is squarely aimed at, including interviews, bloopers and more.
