A mere 10 years after Sam Raimi's first perky Spider-Man film comes Marc Webb's efficient retread.
Andrew Garfield convinces as geeky Peter Parker, but the always captivating Emma Stone is underused as the love interest and Martin Sheen and Sally Field are given little to chew on as Uncle Ben and Aunt May. Spider-Man is still a terrific tale, but this outing lacks sufficient bite.
