Leather jackets, facial hair and intense expressions abound in France's answer to The Shield.
Max, a Parisian detective, commits suicide and his beleaguered team, including the excellent Jean-Hugues Anglade, find themselves thwarted in catching the bad guys by internal affairs and a corrupt system. The cops take matters into their own furious hands in various preposterous ways, including armed robbery. This brutal and bonkers series is never less than gripping.
