"My view, handsome guys are to be avoided," claims Greta Gerwig's haughty Violet in this droll campus comedy. Before Wes Anderson, there was Whit Stillman chronicling the verbose lives of the well-heeled, and this unique American voice returns after a 13-year absence. Violet leads a trio of lofty students who operate the university's Suicide Prevention Centre and take Analeigh Tipton's smart newbie under their wing. Lucid, distinctive and quite often very funny.
