The plot is flimsy but the songs are exquisite from the one of the finest pop albums ever: “The Night Before”, “Hide Your Love Away”, and “I Need You”, which is played out in front of Stonehenge.

Lennon is acerbic, Harrison spacey, Macca cocky and Ringo sweet in this absurd tale of a valuable mystical ring attached to Starr.
