“What I hear when I'm being yelled at is people caring loudly at me.” Amy Poehler, who stole the show hosting this year's Golden Globes, excels as perky Leslie Knope, a local bureaucrat in small-town Pawnee, Indiana. She dreams huge: “It's a great time to be a woman in politics, Hillary Clinton, Sarah Palin, me... my ride's going to be big one.”
The award-winning series, now on season five in the States, starts slightly sluggishly before getting into its delightful stride: gentle, awkward, exquisitely observed comedy.
