Ken Loach's impassioned love letter to Nye Bevan, the NHS and the welfare state has been given more relevance by the recent demise of the villain of the piece, the Iron Lady.

The victorious Labour party of 1945 promised to tackle deprivation, health, education, employment and poverty, and an array of compelling talking heads (economists, doctors, nurses, Tony Benn) extol the virtues of Attlee's compassionate, revolutionary government. There's plenty of absorbing archive footage in Loach's persuasive, moving documentary.
