This supernatural thriller was made in 1998, back when Buffy was at the height of its bitey powers. A languid Davenport is good value as the charming copper forced to sign up with a shadowy vampire-hunting organisation. Idris Elba and Susannah Harker also star in Channel 4’s enjoyable, but dated, series.
