Tim Burton's gothic horror comedy stars Johnny Depp, of course, as a vampire who breaks out of his tomb after 200 years to find that his family has fallen on hard times, largely due to the machinations of his old nemesis, a witch played by Eva Green.
Burton's lack of interest in coherent plotting is more blatant than ever, but Dark Shadows is enjoyable enough as a silly, stylish sitcom about a courtly Georgian gent flummoxed by 1970s America.
