DVD: Juan of the Dead
When a zombie apocalypse engulfs Havana, the film's deadbeat hero – Juan, of course – smells a business opportunity, and he and his clueless friends are soon butchering the undead for a living.
Funnier and more inventive than its title might suggest, this scattershot horror-comedy by Alejandro Brugués comments with some satirical bite on both the zombie sub-genre and Cuban society. It deserves to become a cult favourite.
