Lars Von Trier's lyrical disaster movie is as strange as it is beautiful.

Set entirely on a country estate owned by Charlotte Gainsbourg and Kiefer Sutherland, the first half is a sour wedding comedy in which the bride, Kirsten Dunst, falls to pieces. The second half is a wrenching family drama in which her relatives come to accept what she already knows: another planet is about to smack into the Earth.
