An awkward but interesting mix of epic sci-fi action movie and small-scale, slow-burning indie puzzler, Oblivion stars Tom Cruise as a maintenance man on a devastated and deserted future Earth.

He eventually comes to suspect that he's been told some fibs about his own past, and about the history of the planet, but the revelations won't surprise anyone who's seen Moon or Trance recently. Still, the visuals are amazing.
