DVD: Quantum of Solace, Retail & rental, (20th Century Fox)
The shortest ever Bond film is also the speediest. Every scene has been edited down to a breathless flurry, so the action zips along with scorching energy.
Unfortunately, that same brevity also means that the plot is impossible to follow, although I think it's something to do with a secret society toppling the Bolivian government. Another, bigger problem is that the trademark 007 fun and glamour have been edited out, too. And all work and no play make James a dull boy.
