Roger Michell's unofficial sequel to The King's Speech has Bertie and the Queen Mum visiting Franklin D Roosevelt (Bill Murray) at his mother's country mansion.
FDR's mousy mistress (Laura Linney) keeps saying how important the visit is in her cooing voice-over, but it seems utterly trivial. It's a glossily picturesque comedy of manners in which all potential political intrigue has been replaced by chit-chat over cocktails.
