Few raise questions when Liverpool private-security contractor Frankie is killed in an attack by insurgents on Route Irish, described as the most dangerous road in the world, running from Baghdad International Airport to the Green Zone.
Back home, his childhood friend Fergus (Mark Womack), who convinced Frankie to come to Iraq, does not believe the official line that he was in "the wrong place at the wrong time" and sets about uncovering what happened. Ken Loach's harrowing film has a lot to say about the role of private security firms in Iraq, and is worth watching for a strong performance from Womack as a man struggling with guilt and anger.
