"Been in restaurants all night and all I got served was lead…" Jason Statham frowns and flashes his torso throughout yet another bone-crunching actioner.
This time the taciturn hunk/lunk plays a washed-up agent who ends up saving a Chinese maths prodigy – who has memorised a code to a precious safe – from a legion of meanies: Triads, Russian mobsters and bent New York cops. It's the sort of lurid, sadistic hokum that Sly and Arnie starred in during the 1980s, but Statham makes for a slightly more endearing hard man.
