DVD: Safe House

Denzel Washington stars as a criminal mastermind who, when his cover is blown, finds himself chased around Cape Town by mysterious assassins, with nobody to protect him but Ryan Reynolds's wet-behind-the-ears CIA agent.

As long as Washington and Reynolds are together, Safe House is an exciting battle of wills, but for too much of the film, they're kept apart, and their interplay is replaced by confusing chases and shoot-outs.
