Guy Ritchie’s second Sherlock Holmes film improves on his first in every respect.
It’s a rip-roaring yarn, with enough manic energy and camp self-mockery to set it apart from most action movies, but with enough ingenious sleuthing to appease Conan Doyle aficionados.
Best of all, Robert Downey Jr has taken the radical decision to speak his lines clearly, instead of mumbling them incoherently as he did last time.
